Denzel Washington received countless of praises from critics for his performance on "The Equalizer."

The veteran actor, who plays the role of Bob McCall, brought in his fans and critics with his outstanding performance alongside co-star Chloe Grace Moretz.

The NY Daily News wrote, "Washington's Bob McCall is a guy who lives his life like clockwork, whether sitting alone in his Boston apartment or in his favorite diner at 2 a.m., Bob is a watchful guy. Even when he's reading one of the 100 classic novels his late wife inspired him to tackle, or working his shift at a Home Depot-like hardware mart, Bob's attuned to everything."

The Blade said, "Washington continues his persistent reinvention as action hero, perhaps vying for a spot in The Expendables franchise. If nothing else, The Equalizer affords Washington the opportunity to play his version of Batman... only without the suit and expensive gadgets, and a Bruce Wayne without the mansion and wealth and who is employed as a hardware manager."

Meanwhile, despite the positive reviews he received for his performance, Washington revealed a scene from the movie that he did not necessarily like filming.

Cinema Blend noted that that scene took place towards the end of the film when McCall and his chief adversary, Teddy, had a confrontation.

This particular scene was set in a tool warehouse, which was both dark and cold, which makes it a very difficult option for shooting. Despite getting all the aesthetics right, Washington admitted that he knew the scene would look cool after editing but admitted that he didn't really care that much.

"The Equalizer" is slated for release on Friday, September 26. The film is directed by Antoine Fuqua. Washington and Fuqua first teamed up in 2001 for the film "Training Day," The Hollywood Reporter noted.

"We can collaborate together equally. Obviously, Training Day helps, but it's all about trust. It was like we never stopped working together," Fuqua said at Monday night's premiere.
