New updates and trailers for Tales of Zestiria have been streamed online.

Tales of Zestria is an upcoming Japanese role-playing game for the PlayStation 3, and it is the fifteenth core product in the Tales series being developed by Bandai Namco Studios, and published by Bandai Namco Games. It was revealed during a special festival in December 2013, which was designed as the 20th anniversary title for the Tales series, with a revamped battle system and an open-world. It features multiple staff members from previous entries in the series: they include producer Hideo Baba, battle programmer Tatsuro Udo, designers Kōsuke Fujishima and Mutsumi Inomata, and composers Motoi Sakuraba and Go Shiina.

Bandai Namco games had began streaming five trailers for Tale of Zestiria and the videos showcases some new pre-order content and battle systems for the game. Gematsu reports that the pre-order contents are the following: Kongwai Tao’s “Silent End” for Lailah, Loni Dunamis’ “Final Prayer” for Mikleo, Leia Rolando’s “Soulstoke Celebration” for Alisha, and a Premium Rubber Strap.

The full battle system, titled "Fusonic Chain-LMBS" (with LMBS standing for "LINEAR MOTIONBattle System), renews the franchise's real-time battle system, and adds a gauge that lets characters freely battle as long as there is stock in it. By using the gauge, effects such as healing and blowing away the enemy will be usable. The game will also include a new battle feature called "Kamui" that allows for a human and a heavenly being to fuse. In the game, Sorey will be able to fuse with Heavenly Beings such as Lailah, changing his form and allowing him to use Lailah's attributes to attack.

The game will be released on January 22 in Japan and in the Summer of 2015 in North America and Europe. Pre-orders of the game will include a product code to download a "Limited Premium Hidden Artes," as well as one of four premium rubber straps designed to look like Sorey, Mikleo, Alisha, and Edna. The game will sell for the suggested retail price of 8,070 yen (about US$80). The anime special inspired by the game will premiere in December, and will be included on the game disc.
