He has played tough soldiers, cool superheroes, and dangerous spies but when it comes to Jeremy Renner's daughter, the Oscar nominee actor turns into a pile of mush
The 43-year-old actor broke the news that he was going to be a father, January of this year, and welcomed Ava in March.
Since then, he has not only been very busy with movie projects, he has also secretly married his baby mama, Sonni Pacheco, and played the besotted father to his daughter, Ava.
The 'Kill The Messenger' actor told Capitol File Magazine (via ABC News) that his daughter "ruined" his life "in the best way possible."
"I really mean it, she has ruined it," he said. "Because what I used to think I loved so much - I love my job, I love what I do and I've given my entire life to what I do - and she comes around and kind of steps all over that."
Renner continued to muse, "It's like, 'Well, you know, you don't love that so much! You love me more,' [she says]. And 'You're right, I do, I love you more than anything on this planet.'"
Jeremy Renner's daughter may just be a few months old but she's already made him change his perspective on a lot of things.
Being away from his baby girl is actually painful for the actor but he has no choice because "daddy's got to go to work, got to provide, got to hunt and gather."
How does he deal with having to be away from his baby to shoot films?
The 'Hansel & Gretel' star said he's thankful for technology.
"[We] FaceTime here and there, and videos and photos kind of get me through," he said.
Does the arrival of Jeremy Renner's daughter mean that he'll be slowing down on creating movies? It doesn't, but he now loves Ava more than any big budget film.
"It's unbelievable how she's sort of killed my love for movies," he admitted. "Because now I know what unconditional love is, an amazing, amazing thing ... the reason why I go do things is now for her. So, thank you for that Ava, because it's freed me from myself."
