Lindsay Lohan's "Speed-The-Plow" performance was apparently a disaster as a very nervous "Mean Girls" star made her debut to a half-empty theater.

According to TMZ, Lindsay Lohan's "Speed-The-Plow" debut wasn't supposed to be funny but her anxiety got the best of her.

"Lohan was a disaster ... unprepared, nervous and flubbing lines left and right. According to several accounts ... people backstage were feeding Lindsay her lines. Even more obvious ... she carried a prop book with her dialogue and repeatedly consulted it," it said.

The website couldn't help but throw a shade when it was reported that Lindsay Lohan was looking pale and nervous during her stint, which it said was a "look she usually reserves for the judge."

The NY Daily News confirmed that Lindsay Lohan's "Speed-The-Plow" performance was a disaster. It said that the "Mean Girls" star fumbled her words during her debut.

"Looking pale and nervous, Lohan managed to hang on through her small but critical role as Hollywood secretary Karen - but only with the aid of some crew members offstage who shouted lines at her when she blanked on what she was supposed to say," the publication said.

But NY Daily News claimed that Lindsay Lohan "Speed-The-Plow" performance was not a total disaster as the 28-year-old actress managed to hit all her cues.

"While it wasn't a total disaster, her nerves clearly got the best of her in certain places as she struggled with the fast-paced dialogue of the lowly Karen - a role famously butchered by Madonna on Broadway in 1986," it said.

Judging from the audience's reaction afterwards, however, the play started on a wrong foot, as the publication said that people took to Twitter to describe Lindsay Lohan's "Speed-The-Plow" as "uninspiring," "boring" and underwhelming. In fact, a number of people actually dozed off during the show.
