LA Lakers news provides good updates on the Steve Nash situation as initial reports show that the two-time MVP is moving very well on the court. However, the team signed backup pointguad Ronnie Price just the same, in case something unfortunate happens.
Mike Trudell shared LA Lakers news in a tweet: "Consistent word from last several weeks has been how good Nash has looked in scrimmages. Really does change dynamic of LAL if he's healthy."
He then added: "It's fair to be skeptical of Nash at 40 being able to stay healthy. He knows that better than anyone. But good signs are good signs."
Mike Trudell explained further: "thing that's kept Nash down for 2 years is the nerve issue (result of broken leg). Word is that's the issue that's improved this summer."
In an earlier interview with the LA Times, Steve Nash shared that he's still fighting to keep in shape because of his broken leg.
"I still feel that almost every day, all over. It's not just in that spot. The whole system in a way is different now, it's just a little bit more sensitive," he said.
However, Brett Pollakoff of NBC Sports wrote that a nerve injury is very unpredictable. Steve Nash may move with no pain one minute but that can all change in a flash.
"If Nash is able to keep it in check for the bulk of the upcoming season, his consistent presence in the lineup would undoubtedly help L.A.'s chances," he said.
In other LA Lakers news, it seems the team is not taking any chances that the nerve damage may flare up as it reported signed backup point guard Ronnie Price, said USA Today.
A nine-year veteran, Ronnie Price, 31, will land on his sixth team. His numbers are also not that impressive as he only lodged average of 3.4 points, 1.5 assists and 1.1 rebounds in just under 12 minutes per game.
