Carrie Underwood Gets Candid About Her Pregnancy; Former 'American Idol' Contestant Announces Her Greatest Hits Album, Single ‘Somewhere In the Water’

Carrie Underwood appeared on NBC's "Today Friday" where she talked about her pregnancy for the first time ever and dished on her upcoming Greatest Hits album.

The 31-year-old revealed how she would always look at her husband, hockey player Mike Fisher and say, "It's still kind of weird, to be honest. I'm gonna be a mom. You're gonna be a dad. It's like, 'Is this real life?'"

Underwood, who first gained following after she joined the reality singing competition, "American Idol" confessed that she wants to be as good as her mother when it comes to parenting, according to E! News.

"I have a wonderful mother so if I can be even a little bit like that, I think that we'll be good," she added.

Meanwhile, Underwood also confirmed the upcoming arrival of her Greatest Hits Album on Today.

"The song is called 'Something In the Water' and it's going to be a single off my greatest hits album, which will come out December 9. It's very uplifting," she said on the show. I'm really excited that people are going to hear it Monday, September 29," she said.

Talking about her upcoming single, 'Something In the Water,' Underwood explained, "It's a joyous, uplifting song about changing your life and having that 'aha' moment to waking up and your life being different from that moment forward."

"Something In the Water" is co-written by Chris DeStefano and Brett James, according to Popdust.

Additionally, Underwood will also be performing at the Global Citizen Festival, an event aimed at raising awareness for poverty across the globe.

The singer will take on the stage and perform in Central Park on September 27, Saturday, alongside other hitmakers, including Jay Z, No Doubt, fun, Tiesto, The Roots and more.
