In what is already a star studded cast, two more A-list actors have been confirmed as part of the movie sequel that stars a talking, foul mouthed teddy bear. Both Liam Neeson (Taken) and Morgan Freeman is on board for the Ted 2 full movie.
It was director Seth MacFarlane who officially confirmed this news, noting that both Neeson and Morgan Freeman were going to be on the set of the filming of the Ted 2 full movie. MacFarlane's tweet goes, "Yesterday Liam Neeson, today Morgan Freeman. Not a bad week for #Ted2," the director tweeted on Wednesday.
Liam Neeson has worked with director Seth MacFarlane earlier this year, in the cowboy comedy, A Million Ways To Die In The West. Neeson played a villain, but this collaboration, which also starred Amanda Seyfried (a Ted alum), flopped at the box office. IT only earned $ 17 million in its weekend opening in May this year. Here's hoping the Ted 2 full movie that is in the works will earn more than that.
It will be recalled that the original Ted movie, which MacFarlane wrote, directed, and voiced, was a box office hit. Released in 2012, it made almost $ 550 million worldwide. Reportedly, it is the highest grossing R-rated movie of all time. Ted also received an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Song.
Liam Neeson and Morgan Freeman will star along with Mark Wahlberg, and Amanda Seyfriend in the Ted 2 full movie, which will be released on June, 2015.
In the meantime, Liam Neeson is starring as a private investigator in the movie A Walk Among the Tombstones, and an upcoming film of his is Taken 3 which follows up on the story of ex CIA operative Brian Mills. On the other hand, Morgan Freeman is starring currently in Dolphin Tale 2, and an upcoming film of his is called Ruth and Alex.
