"Star Wars Episode 7" rumors reveal shiny chrome Stormtroopers as the new film will seek to create a cohesive tone for the other sequels.

The Indie Revolver kickstarted all the "Star Wars Episode 7" rumors when it published two pics showing very shiny Stormtroopers.

"For months, there have been reports of chromed stormtroopers in J.J. Abrams' 'Star Wars: Episode VII,' but those closest to the production have been extremely tight-lipped in regards to this new variant," Jay Carlson wrote for Indie Revolver. "I'd been worried that the chrome armor was going to be a clear gimmick, but as it turns out this is the most imposing of the new stormtrooper designs we've seen."

He said that the helmet seems to have evolved from the old Stormtroopers in the original trilogy. The most notable of the changes is the lack of vent on either side.

UK's Metro weighed in on the "Star Wars Episode 7" rumors as it said that aside from the shiny new exterior, the helmets "on these stormtroopers look a little different too."

Meanwhile, Star Wars 7 News reported more "Star Wars Episode 7" rumors when it said that Lucasfilm is trying to carve a new identity apart from Pixar and Marvel under the Disney group.

"There was a lot of business talk at the resort, and with Kathleen Kennedy also heading back and forth the set, it seems there was a lot to discuss," said the site, adding that the talks focused on strategies on how to create a tone for the sequel trilogy.

"It was mentioned that Lucasfilm is aiming to differentiate themselves from the Marvel and Pixar brands within the Disney umbrella. To that end, they're aiming for more of a unified, cohesive tone with the sequel movies... more so than Marvel's MCU efforts, which tend to mix and match different film styles to keep things fresh," the site added.
