Emma Watson's HeForShe launch speech impressed Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and other world leaders at the UN headquarters in New York on September 20.
She spoke in front of world leaders and essentially the entire world to galvanize "as many men and boys" to help promote gender equality and eliminate violence against women and girls.
Her dedication to the case didn't stop there though. A few days after the 'HeForShe' launch, she took the campaign to the best platform for viral awareness, Twitter.
She called on all her male friends and followers on Twitter to publicly support HeForShe, along with a link of its official website.
She tweeted, "Wonderful men out there. I'm launching a campaign - #heforshe. Support the women in ur lives and sign up here now!"
Of course, various stars took up the challenge and posted photos of themselves proudly supporting the cause.
Russell Crowe, Tom Hiddleston, Neil Gaiman, Logan Lerman, Harry Styles, Simon Pegg, Chris Colfer, Luke Newberry, and Matthew Lewis are just some of the men who championed Emma Watson's HeForShe campaign. You can see which other celebrities answered her call in this gallery.
Tom Hiddleston posted, "@EmWatson you are impeccable [and] extraordinary. I stand with you. I believe in gender equality. #heforshe."
One Direction's Harry Styles also joined the cause. He announced his support to Watson and UN Women, as well as posting a photo of himself holding a HeForShe sign.
Even Joseph Gordon-Levitt tagged himself as a feminist, writing on Twitter, "Join the conversation RE: #Feminism for our TV show. I consider myself a Feminist - what about you?"
Meanwhile, Simon Pegg listed the reasons he's supporting the campaign.
"Husband to a wife, father to a daughter, son to a mother. You bet I'm on board, @EmWatson! #heforshe," he tweeted.
It wasn't just the men who supported Watson's call for gender equality. Chloe Grace Moretz, who has spoken about equal pay for both genders as well as better roles for women in film, thought her fellow actress' UN speech was "amazing."
"I'm definitely a feminist so I was very happy with the way that she put it out there," the young actress said, according to MTV.
