A new update on Tracy Morgan's car crash has been unveiled.
Now, Wal-Mart claims that the "30 Rock" actor should have worn a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
The company recently filed a 28-page response to a complaint by lawyers of Morgan and three other, according to CNN.
Back in June, the Wal-Mart truck driver that collided with the rear of Morgan's vehicle pled not guilty to criminal charges.
Wal-Mart urged in the filing that the injuries were caused in large part by their "failure to properly wear an appropriate available seatbelt restraint device," FOX News reported.
The company stressed that it was somewhat the plaintiff's fault that they disregarded the use of seatbelts which caused them greater harm and injuries.
Meanwhile, Morgan's attorney, Benedict Morelli, expressed his disappointment over Wal-Mart's recent filing and said, "It's disingenuous. It's now what they said they were going to do initially, which was take full responsibility. I'm very upset, not for myself but for the families I represent."
As of late, Wal-Mart has not yet released a statement that stressed any responsibility on the truck driver, Kevin Roper. The company wouldn't also acknowledge if Roper was an employee of the company while the case is undergoing further investigation, TMZ noted.
The company did not admit to causing any injuries on Morgan and other members of his party but instead noted that there might be a possibility that a third party caused the injuries over which they have no control over.
Back in June, the "30 Rock" actor was seriously injured after the Wal-Mart truck slammed into a limo bus he was riding on, alongside his friends.
The accident took the life of the star's longtime friend James McNair. Following the accident, Morgan was hospitalized with broken ribs, nose and a broken leg. He later on went into rehab to improve his condition.
