After wrapping up successful shows in North America, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea and Japan, the Queen And Adam Lambert Tour will head off to Europe early next year!
"We are delighted to welcome Queen back following a six year absence and with an incredible new front man in American Idol's Adam Lambert this is royally going to kick off 2015 in style," the Metro Radio Arena general manager, Paul Tappenden, announced. Two major gigs will be held in the venue.
Queen's Brian May and Roger Taylor with their current frontman, Adam Lambert, will be rocking out at the Arena on January 13, 2015, reported Chronicle Live. Tickets will be available for general sale starting this Friday.
This European tour will be longer than their brief stint two years ago. They have set 21 dates for this tour, starting off with the concert at the Metro Radio Arena.
"On the technical side, it's definitely more of a production than two years ago," Lambert said about the upcoming tour. They will also be visiting more cities.
"We have a very interesting set design. It's big and daring. We're going to do it to the max," May added.
According to Chronicle Live, ticket sales are expected to have a high demand, following the rush of ticket sales after their US tour announcement earlier in the year.
Despite apprehension from purists at the beginning, the Queen and Adam Lambert Tour received mostly glowing reviews for most of their performances.
Lambert, in particular, has been stealing Queen fans' hearts with his incredible range and showmanship that both echoed and respected original frontman, Freddie Mercury. He even impressed the legendary Queen members.
"Each time we've worked with Adam with our music, he's just the most incredible front man," Roger Taylor gushed about the Grammy-nominated singer. "He's sensational. He has this amazing range, Freddie had a great range. Adam can really cover it. He's an extraordinary singer and a real talent. I feel he fits into our sort of theatricality. It is very comfortable."
Fans are also anticipating the new album, 'Queen Forever' that the group will be releasing on November 10. It will reportedly feature recovered audio from recordings made by the late Mercury in the 80s. Lambert, meanwhile, is also working on his third record.
