Casey Kasem news reveals that the late radio star's corpse was refused by a funeral home in Norway, following allegations that his wife Jean Kasem is still hiding his dead body.
According to a report from All Access, Casey Kasem's daughter, Kerri Kasem, tweeted that she was informed about the attempted burial.
She then sent the Norwegian funeral home a petition consisting of 20,000 signatures for them to not accept their late father's missing body.
Casey Kasem news said his daughter also plans to send at least 10,0000 letters and online signatures to the facility that is keeping her father's missing remains.
According to Casey Kasem news from Radar Online, his wife Jean Kasem has reportedly escaped to Norway with her husband's corpse, and the late radio star's family is enraged that she was able to flee despite of attempts to stop her.
Kerri Kasem said her stepmother is pushing for Casey Kasem to be buried in Oslo, Norway in order to escape elder abuse charges filed against her in the United States.
News of Jean Kasem's escape was first revealed to The National ENQUIRER, and publicist Danny Deraney has spoken on behalf of Kerri Kasem and her family. "It's entirely possible that Jean wants to go to Norway because she thinks she'll be off the hook there," the publicist said.
Jean Kasem's escape came even after she was publicly slammed by the children of her late husband in an open letter sent to the Norweigan government.
The said open letter, written by Kerri Kasem and signed by family members and close friends of the "American Top 40" host, was reported by Daily Mail. It read: "We beg you, to please decline the request of Jean Kasem and her daughter Liberty to bury Casey Kasem in Norway."
The radio veteran's death has been surrounded by intrigues as Casey Kasem's children said their father was being kept away from them by their stepmother Jean Kasem. According to People magazine, the feud started after the beloved radio star became sick with Parkinson's and dementia, then eventually died last June 15 in Gig Harbor, Washington.
Kerri Kasem then sent a lawyer to Gaffney Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Tacoma, Washington, where Casey Kasem's body was confirmed by police to be missing.
