"Magic Mike XXL" cast Channing Tatum shows off his buff form as production starts for the sequel on male strippers. The second installment also signed Donald Glover and Michael Strahan in what promises to be a funny road trip.
A series of photos from MailOnline revealed "Magic Mike XXL" cast Channing Tatum's chiseled arms as he prepares for a scene.
"Channing's grey T-shirt featured a logo that read Mike Lane Designs, providing a hint at his character's new line of work," the British tabloid said. "The actor furrowed his brow in concentration as he hoisted a heavy-looking table with the help of another actor."
According to Us Weekly, Michael Strahan revealed on September 29 on "Live! With Kelly and Michael" show that he will be joining the ensemble cast in "Magic Mike XXL."
"I'm getting ready to do something that's making me really nervous," he said.
"I'm about to do something that started as a joke here on the show when I was just here as co-host one day and we had a guest here who did a movie and I decided to re-enact some of the movie, so then he kept messing around with me," he told Kelly Rippa.
Then Channing Tatum apparently wrote him into the sequel, the 42-year-old TV personality said.
The studio also announced that comedian Donald Glover, Jada Pinkett-Smith, Elizabeth Banks, Andie McDowell and Amber Heard will join "Magic Mike XXL" cast Channing Tatum in the sequel.
The synopsis for "Magic Mike XXL" reads: "Picking up the story three years after Mike bowed out of the stripper life at the top of his game, 'Magic Mike XXL' finds the remaining Kings of Tampa likewise ready to throw in the towel. But they want to do it their way: burning down the house in one last blow-out performance in Myrtle Beach, and with legendary headliner Magic Mike sharing the spotlight with them. On the road to their final show, with whistle stops in Jacksonville and Savannah to renew old acquaintances and make new friends, Mike and the guys learn some new moves and shake off the past in surprising ways."
