Actress Lee Ah Hyun has been casted for SBS's upcoming Wednesday-Thursday drama 'To The Beautiful You'.
She will be playing a perfectionist manager with a sports management agency, with which the drama's protagonist Kang Tae Joon (played by SHINee's Minho) is signed. The role will show a manager who knows no peace of mind as she deals with the players represented by the agency, yet displays talent and skills that are second to none.
In a statement released by her agency, Lee Ah Hyun said that she is "excited to meet TV audiences as a new character. It is a great honor to be working with some of the big-time idols in the industry. I will do my best to keep a good atmosphere around the set by sharing the energy of some of our younger cast members."
'To The Beautiful You' is the Korean adaptation of a Japanese manga 'Hana-Kimi', which has been adapted into a live-action drama in both China and Japan. This version centers around the story of a girl named Koo Jae Hee (played by f(x) Sulli), who disguises herself in order to transfer to an all-boys school to help the resurgence of high-jump gold medalist Tae Joon.
'Sassy Girl, Chun Hyang', 'My Girl', 'Boys Over Flowers' director Jeon Ki Sang and 'High Kick Through The Roof' and 'High Kick 3: The Revenge of the Short-Legged' writer Lee Young Chul are collaborating on the upcoming drama.
The manga original having sold 26 million copies in Asia and made headlines, the expectations for the drama - which is set to premiere after the conclusion of 'Ghost' - are running high.
