Everyone is excited and hyped up for the opening season of the NBA that is why it is best fitting to see how much LeBron James has been accommodated by the home crowd in Cleveland.
But it seemed like the support coming from his hometown should not be questioned as when the time came for the team to announce the arrival of the king, the cheer was so loud that was hard to hear what the announcer was saying.
The Cleveland home crowd warmly welcomed James in front of 17,000 roaring fans that can't wait to see the NBA superstar play wearing the Cavaliers jersey.
James was sitting on the bench waiting for his name to be announced but the deafening crowd just made it hard for him so what he did was stood up from his chair and began walking out.
According to James "I really couldn't hear it. The fans were really loud and the PA was a little down, so I really couldn't hear it. I was the last person sitting on the bench, so I guess it had to be my time. But the roar was very well received and I'm grateful to be able to be in this position where the fans welcomed me back like that."
First-year Cavs coach David Blatt was confident of his team's game play. He can see how the team's movements were but he knew that the defense needs to be improved.
He said "Overall the impression was positive. For me, you have starters and second starters, that's what makes teams good."
He added "I've never paid much attention to the traditional position definitions. I like having ball-guards, and I like forwards more than forward-centers. I know that sounds European, but I like guys that play facing the basket from those spots. Look, everyone knows what the guys we have can do, so we're not reinventing the wheel. But I think sharing the load and being responsible on the court will be good for them and for the entire team."
Blatt know that he has a great team in his hands saying "'It's a very special group of people who live here that appreciate things about people and about life that are admirable. I'm not surprised at all at how he has been received."
