South Korea's beloved reel-to-reel couple Lee Jong Suk and IU have been in hotties with the former, having recently elaborated on why there is such a strong connection between the two.

As per Koreaboo, Dispatch's 2023 New Year's couple expressed their feelings toward fans in heartfelt letters and a recent interview as a couple.

The pair, who first met as MCs on SBS's Inkigayo in 2012, were originally only casual friends until they began dating.

Lee Jong Suk revealed how his feelings for IU changed. "We had met once before in our mid-20s. It expanded for me into something akin to a crush. There was something huge there, and occasionally I was bummed that it did not get anywhere, "he wrote. "But now, we are finally here together."

In her letter, IU praised the relationship they've had for so long. She said, "I am developing good feelings for someone I have worked with for a long time and we have been leaning on each other." "Someone who is always dependable, kinda adorable, and provides me with genuine support."

In a recent cover interview with Esquire Korea, Lee Jong Suk praised IU, describing her as someone who "has a lot of influence on my life."

The While You Were Sleeping star shared that IU inspires him to be a better person.

"When she says to me, 'You have grown up a lot,' this makes me want to grow into an even bigger adult. And it makes me want to be better, more of a person,' he said.
