Actor Lee Jun Ki revealed his motivation for his upcoming return to small screens after two years through drama 'Arang.'
'Arang' is a drama depicting the motif of the legend of Arang. Further, it is the fantasy melo-historical drama of Arang (Shin Min Ah), a maiden ghost who wishes to find out the truth of her unfair death, and Eun Oh (Lee Jun Ki), a magistrate who has the ability to see ghosts. This will be the first work for Lee Jun Ki after discharging from the military.
Lee Jun Ki spoke on his comeback, "Because this is the drama of my return after a two-year hiatus, I was very cautious. I received a lot of offers, but rather than letting my greed get in the way, I thought it would be better to greet audiences through a more familiar work."
Relating to his choice of 'Arang,' "As an actor who received the scenario for 'Arang,' I thought the storyline was very novel and fresh, and was curious as to how the drama would unravel and come to life. Through a fantasy historical drama genre, I believed that I could attempt a new style of acting to bring joy and satisfaction to audiences."
"I hope that my romance with Arang, played by Shin Min Ah, will be enjoyable. I'm anticipating what type of romance will result through this fantasy melo-historical drama."
