Park Geun Hyung has abandoned his daughter Kim Sung Ryung on 'The Chaser', effectively switching sides to help Son Hyun Joo.

On the latest episode of the SBS Monday-Tuesday drama 'The Chaser', President Seo (played by Park Geun Hyung) effectively disowns his daughter Seo Ji Soo (played by Kim Sung Ryung).

Seo Ji Soo had blackmailed her father for her husband Kang Dong Yoon (played by Kim Sang Jung) earlier, saying "Make Yoo Tae Jin (played by Song Jae Ho)'s founding of the new party so that it never happened. Take care of Baek Hong Suk (played by Son Hyun Joo) as well. Otherwise we'll disclose the minutes to the whole world."

The daughter adds, "Didn't you promise, father? That you wouldn't get in the way of his progress. He won't be a threat to the company. I can make it that way."

When President Seo asks, "Do you realize what will happen if those minutes are released to the public?" Seo Ji Soo replies, "Nothing will happen to the public, my brother Seo Young Wook (played by Jeon No Min) will be the only one who will be in trouble." Putting on a smile, President Seo sends his daughter on her way.

However, after Seo Ji Soo leaves, President Seo tells his son Young Wook, "From this day forward Ji Won (Koh Joon Hee) is my only daughter. Turn PK Joon (played by Lee Young Woo)'s cell phone and Baek Hong Suk to the police right away. Dong Yoon and Ji Soo will have to go to prison. You take over Ji Soo's enterprise too when they are locked up."

When Seo Young Wook is surprised by his father's decision, President Seo asks him, "How old is Ji Soo?" When Young Wook replies "She's 40", his father replies, "I raised her for 40 years. I raised Hanoh Group for 50."

President Seo, in planning to reveal his daughter's crimes in order to distance himself from his son-in-law, will consequently help Baek Hong Suk, adding a new twist and interest to the development of the plot.
