After more than 25 years, we may finally see "Ghostbusters 3" as confirmed by Dan Aykroyd. The 64-year old actor told Alan Carr of Channel 4, "Well, I'm 100% sure that's going to get made." Hearing that from the actor got many people excited, but the question now is if the original cast will return for the third sequel.

In the first two "Ghostbusters" films, we have seen Bill Murray star as Peter Venkman, Dan Aykroyd as Ray Stantz, the late Harold Ramis as Egon Spengler, and Ernie Hudson as Winston Zeddemore. Bill Murray already showed disinterest in returning for the film so it could be only be Dan Aykroyd who will reprise his role.

However, another actor showed interest in doing "Ghostbusters 3" and that is Ernie Hudson. During an interview with Spinoff, the 68-year old actor talked about his experience doing the "Ghostbusters", his co-actor Bill Murray, and about reprising his role.

When asked what his most memorable moment was when shooting "Ghostbusters", he can't help but praise the star of "Lost In Translation". Hudson said, "The most fun thing was that Bill Murray was so hot - and still is. I mean, talk about the movie having legs. Bill Murray is amazing. His career's just extraordinary, and he's so funny."

He added, "Being on the street with Bill Murray, just hanging out and seeing how the fans react, seeing people stop their cars and jump out and run over - that was pretty extraordinary, because I had made it to that place in my career. Seeing him at that time was really incredible."

Ernie Hudson was also asked about the status of "Ghostbusters 3". He said, "It's still on track, and I just saw Ivan about two weeks ago. And he says "on track," but he didn't say that with a lot of confidence, so I don't know! [Laughs]. I'm like, "OK ..." But I'd love to see that happen. Fans deserve it, and it would be great."

In a separate interview as reported by Michigan Times, Ernie Hudson revealed the factors that will make him return for the third "Ghostbusters" movie. He said, "I really want to return to the role, but the money has to be right, and so does the story."

Hudson explained, "Like Bill [Murray] said the story has to be right to do another movie, the fans have been waiting a long time for this potential sequel so if the story is right I will do it." However, Ivan Reitman may not offer him a role because there have been rumors that he may get an all-female cast.

Do you want to see the original cast return for "Ghostbusters 3" or do you think it's a good idea to get actresses to star in the film?
