The Texas girl missing for twelve years has been found!
People reported that the 4 year old Texas girl missing for twelve years was kidnapped by her mother in 2002 was found in the Mexico City area. The girl's mother was flown to Texas upon discovery of kidnapping incident, as investigators reported on Wednesday.
According to FBI and Mexican public officials, the victim, Sabrina Allen, currently 17 years of age, was seen Tuesday evening in Papalotla, Tlaxcala. Allen's disappearance was shown twice in "America's Most Wanted." Allen's father reported her to be missing when she vanished in 2002 after a visiting her mother over the weekend.
Gregory Allen, Sabrina's father announced in a news conference with the FBI and a Austin, Texas police department last Wednesday:
"She's in pretty bad shape as far as my understanding."
"She was not living a regular life. She has not been going to school."
Sabrina and her mother, Dara Llorens, returned to Texas on Wednesday, according to People. Llorens is imprisoned in a jail in Austin under an inflicted kidnapping charge. She is also on $300,000 bond for bail.
People reported that Gregory Allen obtained the services of a private investigator to help locate his daughter's whereabouts. He also distributed flyers to people to help track his daughter's location.
The Texas girl missing for 12 years can now be with her father and other people who truly care.
Gregory said in relief, as reported in People:
"This has been a long road. What wound up happening is we got lucky."
