You can now watch "X-Men: Days of Future Past" right in your own home as FOX releases its DVD and Blu-Ray copy on October 14. To bring in excitement to all Marvel fans, they have released a behind-the-scenes footage of the recent "X-Men" movie.
Featured in the video is one of the new mutants, Blink, which was played by Chinese actress Fan Bingbing. Director Bryan Singer tries to explain what makes Clarice Ferguson important to the X-Men. The mutant is known for its teleportation power by creating mini portals from one space to another.
Fan Bingbing's character only had a short scene in the "X-Men: Days of Future Past" that's why many people are wondering why they chose Blink for the behind-the-scenes featurette. This started speculations that the mutant will return in "X-Men: Apocalypse".
During an interview with Collider, writer Simon Kinberg shared his vision for the next "X-Men" movie. He said, "I will say that [X-Men: Apocalypse] is definitely the close of a trilogy for those First Class characters, which isn't to say we won't see them in future movies, hopefully we will, but it's a completion of an arc for them."
Based on what Kinberg said, we may be seeing a new breed of mutants in "Apocalypse" which could include Blink. Comic Book gave a brief background on Blink: "She has existed in the Marvel Universe for 20 years, debuting in Uncanny X-Men #317. Created by Scott Lobdell and Joe Madureira, she has held infrequent memberships with the X-Men and New Mutants, and was last seen as a member of Wolverine's Jean Grey School."
We also did some research about Blink and we discovered that Clarice, which was her birth name, was only a child when Apocalypse reigned over Miami. She was discovered by Mister Sinister and Dark Beast, who enhanced her powers. Apart from teleportation, Blink can also teleport her javelins which can cut through objects and stun opponents making them unconscious.
