Based on reports, the 52-year old actor is flirting heavily with his co-star in "Mission Impossible 5". Many people were surprised to see newcomer Rebecca Ferguson land the female lead role, but there's a reason behind that.
Celeb Dirty Laundry reported that Tom handpicked the 30-year old Swedish actress after seeing her nude scene in the TV series "The White Queen", where she was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress. A source told The National Enquirer, "Tom keeps saying how Rebecca's just like a young Nicole Kidman, but even more beautiful."
The actor that plays Ethan Hunt is known for having young and beautiful girlfriends which included Katie Holmes, Nicole Kidman, and Penelope Cruz. After his divorce with Katie Holmes, he is now free to date anyone he wants. Another fresh face such as Rebecca Ferguson is the perfect candidate for Tom Cruise's new girlfriend.
According to the website, "Tom's people audition his romantic partners. This way, she gets a career boost and worldwide fame, and Tom gets to go out with someone who looks like the younger version of his ex-wife. Plus, perhaps she'll manage to do something to help his PR, which is at an all-time low right now."
A few months ago, another young actress was rumored to be Tom Cruise's new girlfriend. The star of "That 70's Show", Laura Prepon, tried to clear out the rumors during an interview with the Daily Beast. The 34-year old actress jokingly said, "I'm flattered because I think he's hot, so I'm like, 'Oh, that's nice,' and apparently he's very gentlemanly with me." She added, "Apparently we get along great and he knows that I have a favorite bottle of wine that I didn't even know I had."
In a separate interview with SheKnows, she made fun of the allegations. Prepon said, "Apparently I'm dating Tom Cruise right now." She added, "And apparently he doesn't want me doing the show because I portray a lesbian and I'm a Scientologist. This is false. Where are they even getting this stuff? It's unbelievable to me."
