Lee Beom Soo made the bombshell announcement that he will make his son a king.

In the latest episode of MBC's 'Dr. Jin' that aired on Saturday, Jin Hyuk (played by Song Seung Hun) reveals to Young Rae (played by Park Min Young) that he is from the future and that he must return, and in turn Young Rae bids Kyung Tak (played by Kim Jae Joong) farewell.

Meanwhile, Regent Heung Sun (played by Lee Beom Soo) discovers a plot to bring about a revolution in Chosun by Young Hwee (played by Jin Yi Han) and Choon Hong (played by Lee So Yeon). In response, Choon Hong says to the Regent, "I will be a woman who will move Josun. Regent Heung Sun, please be the best man in all of Chosun", essentially asking him to join her in the plot.

Heung Sun accepts the offer, and knows that he must be noticed by queen dowager Cho; he therefore visits her with Dr. Jin and shows the doctor's medical skills, drawing her attention. Dr. Jin also manages to save Hwal-in-seo(a medical organization), effectively killing two birds with one stone with his visit.

Taking advantage of this opportune moment, Heung Sun offers to throw festivities for queen dowager Cho's birthday, scoring a victory in the power struggle with his rivals, the Kims.

Upon hearing the development, however, Young Hwee visits Heung Sun and confronts him about the planned extravagance, asking, "For the money to throw the festivities you could feed the people. Is this what Heung Sun's Chosun is? What will you do with the power and the money you will get?"

In response, Heung Sun states, "I will make my son Myung Bok into a king," thereby announcing the birth of King Gojong.
