New LA Lakers point guard Jeremy Lin doesn't like to be associated with "Linsanity" anymore but he still maintained his edge as an underdog which earned him praises from his teammates. Meanwhile, the Harvard graduate doesn't really like to call Nick Young "Swaggy P" unless the 6-7 forward tells him to do it.

Coach Byron Scott is all praises for LA Lakers point guard Jeremy Lin as he led the second unit to a win over the starters, led by Kobe Bryant, in one of the scrimmages.

"I like him a lot. I really do," Scott told reporters last Wednesday, according to the LA Times. "On defense he really knows where to be. He's gritty, just like I knew he would be.

"He's going to guard you to the best of his ability, and he never gives up on a play. Offensively he runs the team. He gets to the basket. I love the way he pushes the ball in the open floor," the coach added.

Two-time MVP also sang praises for new LA Lakers point guard Jeremy Lin as he told Lakers Nation blog: "He gets to the basket. He can really get in there at the rim cause problems, create fouls."

New LA Lakers point guard Jeremy Lin is no stranger to the limelight following that glorious short burst of good play in New York Knicks which earned for him the nickname "Linsanity."

He also managed to use the whole hoopla surrounding "Linsanity" to get a big paycheck from the Houston Rockets.

Meanwhile, Jeremy Lin revealed to Inside Socal that he really doesn't want to call Nick Young by his nickname "Swaggy P."

"He's super cool, but I find it ridiculous everyone comes in and calls him Swaggy. He has to earn it! Maybe he has. But I just got here," he said.

"He has to do something that I see that when I look at him, he glows with swagginess," Lin said. "He's hilarious. He's really cool. Just out of respect for him eight years in, if he wants to be called Swaggy P, I guess I will. But other than that, I'll call him Nick Young," new LA Lakers point guard Jeremy Lin said.
