The Fappening 4 Male Photo Leak, Lessons Learned From Saving To The Cloud
After the most recent Fappening incident, labeled Fappening 4, the private photo leaks seemed to be dying down. The nude photo release seemed to be coming to an end, with more photos of women in clothes and a selection of the first male photos.
Brian Fagioli of Beta News shared, "The Fappening is a tragedy and like all tragedies, learning from them can mitigate the negative aspect. If we can walk away from the photo leak as a more evolved people, we can prevent the hackers from "winning". With that said, here are three things that can be learned from the Fappening."
- The first lesson to be learned from the Fappening is that nobody who posts data on the Internet is safe, including content stored in the cloud, which is still a relatively new concept. This is not just a testimony about Apple, one of the highly touted tech firms. But it could happen to any company or individual using the cloud. The Fappening phenomenon offers a reminder that the Cloud technology is still a work in progress.
- Negative stereotyping of women needs to be careful analyzed. Taking nude photos is a private thing and should not be judged by the public about what is in good taste and what is not. In the Fappening, the Hackers are the ones who have to take responsibility for the tragedy.
- In the future, assume that what is on the cloud can be compromised as a rule. This makes users think twice before posting personal information on the Net. It looks like the Cloud is convenient place to store data but comes with a price.
