Pharrell Williams and Daft Punk collaborate once again with their latest hit "Gust of Wind." Their previous work, "Get Lucky" and "Lose Yourself to Dance" took the entire world by storm last year, and this latest single will be one of the amazingly catchy tracks from Pharrell's latest LP, G I R L.
Although the internationally famous robotic duo from France does not appear in the music video, their signature helmets can be seen as crashed UFOs in the deep forest. The forest is featured with very colorful, dancing fairies who know how to perform acrobatics. They are even showcased in the video as they boogie with Skateboard P.
The visuals are amazingly vibrant. The music video is directed by known film-maker Edgar Wright, who is also behind "Scott Pilgrim Versus the World" and "Shaun of the Dead."
Pharrell strolls through the fall-covered forest, where he comes across two massive boulders. It later turned out that the huge rock formations were actually the blown-up helmets of Daft Punk. Then, the Baes dance with the judge of "The Voice" and the autumn leaves before the boulders start to light up and take off into the sky.
The video was very interesting and fans have loved it ever since it was released on the Internet. Surely, fans have had the song on repeat, since its catchy beat, which is pretty typical of all of Pharrell's songs, is a perfect way to start the day.
"Gust of Wind" is actually the fifth music video to be released from Pharrell's second album, G I R L. The previous ones are "Come Get It Bae", "It Girl", "Happy", and "Marilyn Monroe." He is currently on his European tour and has been working in the studio with fellow "The Voice" judge, No Doubt front woman, Gwen Stefani, for her upcoming solo album.
