"7th Heaven" star Stephen Collins has been in headlines after an audiotape of the actor admitting to sexually abusing three girls surfaced.
Details of Collins have begun to surface more and more since the audiotape, which was recorded during a therapy session with his ex-wife years ago, was released this week.
"Stephen's therapist subsequently disclosed to me that Stephen has narcissistic personality disorder with sociopathic tendencies," Stephen Collins' ex-wife Faye Grant, according to the LA Times.
Grant and Collins were married for 27 years, but separated in February 2012 after she learned about the actor's "secret life," according to court documents.
"I believe that Stephen used his celebrity status to engender the trust of the families of the children he molested," Grant stated.
She also reportedly claimed in court documents that Stephen Collins underwent a 12-step program for sex addiction and revealed to his therapist that he "engaged in a long-term pattern of sexually abusing minor children."
Years before Stephen Collins was investigated for child molestation, the 67-year-old allegedly revealed his incestuous fantasies to his wife before she gave birth to the couple's daughter.
"The comment you made just before I gave birth to our daughter when you said you hoped we didn't have a little boy, because 'you just didn't know if you could keep his little penis out of your mouth' was indication enough that you were sick," Grant allegedly wrote in a 2013 email to the actor.
She added, "I should have followed my gut then, and then again 14 years ago, and kicked your ass to the curb."
Stephen Collins' attorney accused Faye Grant of blackmail on Tuesday and reportedly claimed that she had been threatening to release the tape for years, according to NY Daily News. Grant has reportedly denied leaking the recorded therapy session to the media this week.
"It appears that she has finally found an audience for this tape- not surprisingly on the eve of the trials in the divorce case where, again, she is seeking millions of dollars more than that to which she is legally entitled," Mark Vincent Kaplan told TMZ.
