The crazy life of Amanda Bynes has yet to end.

The former actress was reportedly accused of shoplifting a $200 hat at Barney's in New York, according to the media outlet Just Jared.

Bynes was grabbed by a security guard after she tried to leave the department store's Madison Avenue location wearing the hat without paying for it, according to TMZ. The 28-year-old was reportedly "acting crazy" in the store and police were eventually called to deal with the situation.

Amanda Bynes reportedly told security that fans were following her through the store, so she put on the hat simply to cover her face and ran. The former child star is reportedly no longer allowed to enter the store.

Bynes, who was recently in L.A. for 15 months living with her parents while attending fashion school, has been partying since returning to the Big Apple. Amanda Bynes was reportedly seen at Nylon magazine's "It Girl Prom" party at the Gilded Lily lounge on Monday night, according to NY Daily News.

"When she came in, people realized who she was and they started flocking over to her," an insider stated.

Another witness added, "Yes, Amanda 'crazy pants' was in the building. She chain smoked with a group of friends in one of the banquettes to the left of the DJ booth. She made photographers delete any photos of her from their cameras."

Although a source stated Bynes got "kicked out" of the party, another insider at the club reportedly stated that she exited the venue voluntarily with one of the club's owners. She was then reportedly seen going into a car and heading uptown.

After a five-month break from Twitter, the "She's the Man" star is also back on social media.

"Don't believe anything the tabloids are saying about me. They dislike me for some odd reason & they continue to insult me everyday," tweeted Bynes.

She also reportedly posted on her Twitter on Tuesday that she would be attending either NYU or Columbia to study psychology.

"You'll see me in New York if you live here but I HATE stalkers," wrote Bynes.
