"The 100" season 2 will be airing on CW on October 22. Are you ready?

The upcoming run of the highly anticipated sci-fi series boasts of grittier and darker episodes with a lot of twists.

In an interview with Cinema Blend, Lindsay Morgan who plays mechanic Raven Reyes, hinted on a very interesting new season, saying:

"If you think Season 1 was nuts, Season 2 is definitely... get ready!"

Marie Avgeropoulos who plays Octavia Blake on the other hand hinted on the major plot twists next season.

"What you think is happening, it's the complete opposite." She went on to talk about some of the other groups of people involved in Season 2," she said.

If fans enjoyed how nerve wracking season 1 is, they're in for something more! According to some "The 100" season 2 reports, CW president Mark Pedowitz shared that the unfortunate fate of the group in season 1 will give fans a clue of the darker season 2 they can all look forward to.

"He [executive producer Jason Rothenberg] made a gritty show, something that was maybe not unique at first, but he made it unique to ourselves and it had a solid following. We appreciate the critical reviews that we received. And more importantly, it had a very strong digital following," he said.

And if fans are wondering how many people are still alive to make to "The 100" season 2, Rothenberg teased:

"We know for sure 48 people are alive. Whether or not they all appear in the second season is a question."
