Eduardo Dantas is off to face Joe Warren this coming Friday for the Bellator bantamweight title unification bout in Thackerville, OK.
But before the fight is going to happen, Dantas has been bombarded my many of Warrens trash talks however; Dantas said that he is not bothered, not a bit.
Among the many words that Warren has said about Dantas, among them was when he called in a "kid." To this, Dantas replied "He can talk anything he wants."
"Yes, I'm younger. I'm also much faster, and much more aggressive because I'm young."
The 25 year old Brazilian mixed martial artist is also not upset that Bellator decided to create an interim title - which Warren won - even though it has only been about six months since he last fought and won.
What matters to Dantas is that he is still fighting and that he is happy of the promotions.
He said "It doesn't make a big difference to me. Everyone knows I'm the champ. To me, Bellator gave him a belt because he's famous, so they could take pictures with him holding it."
When asked if the pictures of Waren holding the belt motivate him, he answered "No."
""I think it is good for [Warren]. He's an old guy so it is goof for him to have a belt. He may be happy right now, but on Friday, he won't be."
Dantas has mostly fought for Shooto Brazil, where he has competed for the Shooto 132-pound world title. He is the current Bellator Bantamweight champion. Dantas is currently ranked as the #3 bantamweight in the world and the #1 bantamweight outside of the UFC by fightmatrix.com.
Dantas has an MMA record of 19 fights. He has 16 wins in them in which 4 where knockouts with six submissions and six of them were by decisions.
He has 3 losses each one by knockout, decision and disqualification.
Dantas was supposed to face Bellator Season 9 Bantamweight Tournament winner Joe Warren at Bellator 118.But Dantas had a head injury and withdrew from the bout. It was Rafael Silva who faced Warren as his replacement.
Dantas is expected to face Joe Warren in a title unification bout on October 10, 2014 at Bellator 128.
