"The Real Housewives of New Jersey" Star Melissa Gorga opened up for the first time regarding her sister-in-law Teresa Giudice's recent sentencing.
"Obviously this has been a very tough week. We are heartbroken for our family and especially those four sweet girls. Pray for them. No matter how you feel, I hope everyone is wishing their family strength and faith," Melissa wrote on her Bravo blog.
Melissa Gorga and her husband Joe will reportedly most likely be helping with the Giudice's four daughters while Teresa Giudice serves her 15-month prison sentence, according to Examiner. After Teresa serves her sentence, Joe Giudice will be serving his 41 months.
Teresa and Joe recently sat down with Bravo host Andy Cohen for an interview where they spoke about the sentencing and their daughters. As expected, the episode, which aired on Monday, did incredibly well in ratings with 3.2 million viewers, according to the media outlet All About RH.
Teresa Giudice will be leaving behind her daughters Gia (13), Gabriella (9), Milania (8) and Audriana (5) while she's serving her time in prison. Currently, only the couple's eldest daughter knows about their parents' legal troubles while the rest are only suspecting something's up, according to E! News.
"Actually, Milania came up to me while I was in bed yesterday and said, 'Do you have something to say to me?' And I said, 'Like what?,'" stated Teresa Giudice.
She added that her daughter Gabriella, who usually isn't "that affectionate" gave her a kiss in the morning.
The mother of four continued, "So, she gave me a kiss and came up to me. I love that, because my Gabriella, she's so good."
Teresa Giudice is still contemplating on how to tell her daughters that she'll be gone for over a year.
"I'm not going to say something like, 'Mommy's going somewhere.' I want Joe to come with the girls to come see me," explained the RHONJ cast member.
