LA Lakers news updates centered on Nick Young's recuperation from injury with girlfriend Iggy Azalea by his side. Kobe Bryant, meanwhile, is still talking trash to Swaggy P.

In the latest LA Lakers news from Us Weekly, Iggy Azalea, 24, took time off from her busy schedule to support her boyfriend during surgery following Nick Young's injury.

"The 'Fancy' performer went to and from the hospital with her boyfriend of one year. She embraced Young as they walked arm in arm outside of the California medical facility, looking casual and happy together," the magazine said.

They then stepped out together after the procedure, with Nick Young being assisted on a wheelchair on the way to their car.

Iggy Azalea and Nick Young have been dating for about a year now and they survived even the nasty sex tape rumors that have been feasted on by the tabloids in recent weeks.

In another report from Us, a source said that both are perfect for each other because of their zest for life.

"It's a really fun relationship, they are always laughing and having fun. It's very light and drama-free with them. She has gotten really into basketball from him [and] he doesn't even mind going shopping with her which is rare! As long as they are together," the source said.

In other LA Lakers news, Kobe Bryant was asked by NBATV during the Real Training Camp segment to weigh in on the Nick Young injury and instead of sympathy, Swaggy P. gets a reprimand, according to CBS Sports.

"That's a lesson to be learned. You reach, you're going to get hurt."

That's a sentiment that Nick Young certainly supports. Not exactly known as a great defender, the player who goes by the self-proclaimed nickname Swaggy P. said that playing defense will get you hurt.

Nick Young posted a photo on Instagram of him wearing a hospital gown before going under the knife. He then captioned the photo with a series of hashtags: "#It's time #PrayForMe #ThisIsWhatHappenWhenYouGuardKobe #DefenseHurt."
