Jennifer Lawrence and Gwyneth Paltrow might not be the closest friends, particularly as they only have one man in common. However, rumor has it that the former actress wants to be chummy with the young Academy winner.

JLaw is currently dating Paltrow's former flame, Coldplay front man, Chris Martin. According to the rumors, the 42-year-old Goop founder wants to get to know the 24-year-old "Hunger Games" star.

An insider told Us Weekly, "She'd like to spend a little time with her and thinks they'd probably get along."

Paltrow and the 37-year-old musician decided to part ways in March. Although they are now separated, they do remain on pretty good terms with one another. In fact, he even bought a house that is situated right across from hers, and also hosted a birthday party for her at his new home.

The source then added that there were no bad blood between her and Martin. In fact, she was pretty "fine" with his present romance with the young actress. However, the "Shakespeare in Love" actress did say that he would want him to wait a bit further before finally introducing JLaw to their children, 10-year-old Apple and 8-year-old Moses.

"Gwyneth wants to be sure about her," the source said.

Another source previously tipped to Us Weekly that Paltrow only knew very few things about JLaw, and they were pretty impersonal, to say the least. This is perhaps why she wants to get to know her ex's present girlfriend further. The source said, "Her take is, 'Hey, he could do worse.' She just wants him to be happy."

It would seem that Chris Martin is certainly happy. In fact, just last month, a third source revealed to Us Weekly that the British rocker has "fallen in love" with the "Silver Linings Playbook" star. "It's the real deal," said the source.
