The last installment in The Hobbit franchise has some pretty big names that have come from the original Lord of the Rings series. Chief among these are Ian McKellen who plays Gandalf the Grey, and Orlando Bloom, who shot to fame as the elf Legolas. Earlier this month, we already so two The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies cast posters -- that of Gandalf, and of course, the hobbit himself, Bilbo Baggins, played by Martin Freeman.
Today, a brand new poster for The Battle of The Five Armies has been released. And this time, it's Legolas' turn. The official Twitter account of The Hobbit posted the photo, telling everyone that the fan vote between Legolas and Thranduil is the "closest yet" We see Legolas in this poster, with bow and arrow poised, getting ready for the big battle to end The Hobbit series.
Galadriel, played by Cate Blanchett, is featured in her very own The Hobbit: The Battle Of The Five Armies cast poster. In it she is looking grave at the dark situation that the last Hobbit movie has in store.
In the previous Hobbit: The Battle Of The Five Armies cast posters, we saw Martin Freeman, who plays the main character Bilbo Baggins holding up a sword, with the tag line "The Defining Chapter," while the other poster shows Gandalf (played by Ian McKellen), all grimy and gruff, and clearly looking very troubled.
If the trailer for The Hobbit The Battle Of The Five Armies full movie says anything, fans are in for plenty of battle scenes, emotional moments and lots of spectacular visuals for this final movie of J.R. R. Tolkien's bestselling novel. Even during the San Diego 2014 Comic-Con, director Peter Jackson confirmed that the movie takes on a much darker turn, similar to The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King. "It's not as comical as the first Hobbit movie and they're progressively getting to tone of Fellowship Of The Ring," the director said.
