There have been rumors that "Ghostbusters 3" will have a new director and it will be headed by an all-female cast. The original director of the movie, Ivan Reitman, has decided to become just the producer of the film and on top of his choice of directors is Paul Feig, who is known for his works in "Bridesmaids" and "The Heat".

If you've noticed, both movies feature some of today's top female stars. That's why rumors started to come out that the new "Ghostbusters" movie will be headed by actresses instead of actors. By doing this, it will eliminate the comparison between Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray, and the late Harold Ramis with the new female cast because their approach will be different.

Just recently, the "Ghostbusters 3" rumors were confirmed to be true and the latest update came from the new director himself. Paul Feig announced on Twitter, "It's official. I'm making a new Ghostbusters & writing it with @katiedippold & yes, it will star hilarious women. That's who I'm gonna call."

The latest news received mixed reactions from his followers. Charley Pavlosky wrote, "Make it smart Paul, so that I don't throw up from bad dialog and story, like most H'Wood pics." Audry Taylor wrote, "Just promise it'll be fun and we'll be rooting for you."

Based on the comments, the pressure is on for Paul Feig and many people are wondering why he accepted the project since he can always make another comedy movie. The 52-year old actor tried to explain why he accepted "Ghostbusters 3" in an interview with Movie Pilot.

He said, "Ghostbusters is such a great thing and everybody knows it, and it's such a great world. It's a shame to just let this thing sit there. I want to see another one. My favorite thing to do is work with funny women. I was like, what if it was an all-female cast? If they were all women?"

Feig continued, "Suddenly, my mind kind of exploded: that would be really fun. And then I thought, well, what if we just make it new? It's not coming into the world that existed before. It's always hard if the world has gone through this big ghost attack, how do you do it again? I wanted to come into our world where there's talk of ghosts but they're not really credible, and so what would happen in our world if this happened today?"

I'm sure that got you all excited. Which actress do you want to see in "Ghostbusters 3"?
