It's both bad news for "24: Live Another Day" cast Kiefer Sutherland as he received an extraordinary tribute and got caught in a legal dispute at the same time.
According to the Belfast Teleraph, Quentin Devine, 36, created a "24-meter square canvas out of 1,485 postcards of London" before putting it on display at the Borough Market over the weekend.
The artist reportedly finished the work, using 24 various types of postcards, in just a day.
"Creating a giant Jack Bauer portrait on a 24-metre squared canvas, in 24 hours, using just 24 different types of London post cards, sounds like a challenge fit for the man himself," he said. "Just like Jack, I had to meticulously plan my strategy, sticking one postcard down to the giant 24 meter square canvas every minute, before time ran out."
And just like "24: Live Another Day" cast Kiefer Sutherland, the artist "certainly felt the pressure as the clock was ticking, but luckily for me the fate of the world wasn't resting in my hands."
Meanwhile, in another report from Calgary Herald , "24: Live Another Day" cast Kiefer Sutherland might be summoned to Alberta in Canada involving a labor case over the "Forsaken" movie.
The publication said that labor unions have filed an application before the Alberta Labour Relations Board against Camel Entertainment Inc. which lists Kiefer Sutherland as president.
"The application claims that Camel has 'taken possession of the director's cut' of the movie and is continuing to work on post-production, marketing and distribution of the film while representatives from the Redemption companies claim they have no assets to pay the production's Alberta bills," the Calgary Herald claimed.
"Our position is that Camel is controlling this picture," said Damian Petti, IATSE Local 212, which filed the complaint. "So we've applied for successor rights to see that the liabilities flow with the control of the picture."
