In the premiere episode, Demon Dean (Jensen Ackles) left his brother Sam (Jared Padalecki) to be tortured in the dungeon of Cole (Travis Aaron Wade). It can be remembered that Cole hates Dean because he thinks that the latter killed his father. So he wants revenge and Sam could get the brunt of his anger.
But Dean didn't care if Sam might be killed by Cole as he left behind his brother.
According to the "Supernatural" season 10, episode 2 spoilers, however, Demon Dean apparently couldn't bear to see his brother die as he saves him from Cole.
That sparks a bit of hope for Sam who thinks that he can help his brother.
"Whatever happened, we will fix it," Sam said in the teaser clip.
However, Demon Dean doesn't want saving as he tells Sam, "I'm doing all I can not to rip out your throat."
"Supernatural" season 10, episode 2 spoilers can be gleaned from the synopsis which reads:
"Crowley (Mark Sheppard) notices Dean (Jensen Ackles) is becoming more and more aggressive. Dean tells him that's the side effect of being a demon, but Crowley knows it's something more - the Mark of Cain needs to be fed. Meanwhile, Sam (Jared Padalecki) is captured by Cole (guest star Travis Aaron Wade), an angry man who blames Dean for his father's death years ago and wants revenge. Cole tortures Sam, hoping he'll tell him where Dean is hiding. Hannah (guest star Erica Carroll) sees how weak Castiel (Misha Collins) is becoming as his grace continues to fade, so she makes a bold choice and asks Metatron (guest star Curtis Armstrong) for help."
Meanwhile, Curtis Armstrong said in an interview with Buddy TV that his character Metatron "has a bit of a crush on Castiel in a way."
"I think he would love to have Castiel with him -- not really with him because I think he also thinks Castiel is a little dangerous to have near him, but he wishes he would pay him the kind of respect he feels he's owed by everyone, and the fact that Castiel will never do that is probably a bit annoying to him," he said.
