Fans of the undead are getting their kicks once more, now that The Walking Dead is back with its brand new season. We saw how in The Walking Dead season 5 episode 1, main character Rick Grimes just survived a near death experience at the hands of Gareth and his group. He is once again the leader of a group of people that include his daughter Judith, who was thought to have died already.
The actor who portrays Rick Grimes reveals some of the more juicy The Walking Dead season 5 episode 1 spoilers, plus plenty of other details in this brand new season, in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
Of his character Ricky, and how different he is this season, Lincoln has this to say: "He's the most complete warrior, the most decisive, uncompromising leader that he's ever been. I don't think he's at all struggling with moral ambiguities. He's a man that his sole mission is to keep his family alive."
Among the many things that occur in this season is the sublime moment when the character of Rick is reunited with his daughter that was presumed dead all along. This is one of the biggest The Walking Dead season 5 episode spoilers that was revealed. Lincoln's character experiences this emotional moment, and has some amazing realizations in the process. "It's amazing that in some of the greatest and most beautiful moments that Ricky experiences in this world, he's in floods of tears. It was so beautiful doing the scene with Carol (Melissa McBride) after their history," Lincold shares. "She saves all their lives and reunites him with is daughter."
As to the whereabouts of Beth (played by Emily Kinney), and whether Father Gabriel has anything to do with her disappearance, Lincoln says this: "Within the first eight episodes, all those questions will be addressed and dealt with. They may not be fully dealt with but the audience won't have to wait too long to find out."
