Remake of the 1984 animated movie "Which Witch" is currently in development

As per Variety, the comedian actor, Billy Crystal, was reported to be on-board for the remake of the 1984 animation flick "Which Witch". Jim Henson Co. produced the original film. And now, the production company is still part of this movie, together with Billy Crytal, who will be the writer, producer. He is also set to star in this animation project.

Apart from this movie, Jim Henson Co. is known for managing movie "Labyrinth.

The CEO of the production company was Jim Henson. When he died, his sibling and co-owner John Henson ran the company. When John Henson died this year, Jim's children Brian Henson and Lisa Henson continue running the production. Brian serves as chairman, while Lisa Henson serves as CEO.

The comedian actor Billy Crystal told Variety

"When Brian Henson called me about it, I didn't know the book" he said.

He also added:

"But it's a fantastic story, and I brought in a wonderful writer, Michael Feldman, and we've written a terrific and inventive script. I'll play a character as well, which will be great fun because he actually has two eyes."


As per Vanity Fair, Henson production company will also be working on a sequel to the 1982 muppet apocalypse movie titled, "Dark Crystal". some source said, it may be called "The Power of the Dark Crystal."
