LA Lakers news doesn't bode well for fans as the players seemed beat by the intense practice sessions resulting to heavy legs during pre-season games. However, it's not going to last as Kobe Bryant promised that things will be better when the season starts.

The Lakers Nation reported the latest LA Lakers news when it quoted reporter Serena Winters as saying: "Kobe says everyone has pretty heavy legs right now, says they've been practicing really hard."

Lakers reporter Mike Trudell confirmed that Kobe Bryant had said the practice sessions "haven't started tapering down yet" which means coach Byron Scott is still riding his team very hard for conditioning purposes.

"Byron Scott has been very hard-nosed this training camp, focusing on defense and conditioning," the website said. "Kobe even said himself that he had never run this much during a training camp. It can, however, have some consequences, and the Lakers may have felt that tonight."

Meanwhile, the SilverScreenAndRoll blog dished more LA Lakers news when it quoted Kobe Bryant as saying that the heavy legs would improve once they get their conditioning right.

"As you saw tonight it was tough to get our legs underneath us. We've been pushing pretty hard," he told reporters following the blowout loss to the Golden State Warriors. "We haven't started tapering down yet [in training camp]. Once we do, I think you'll see everyone having fresh legs."

The weariness was evident as Kobe Bryant admitted that he got no lift on his jump shot during the Warriors game resulting to a poor shooting percentage. Although he registered four steals during the game and was quite engaged in defense, the Black Mamba also coughed up four turnovers.

The LA Lakers squad will next play the Utah Jazz so they got a bit of time off to rest their heavy legs. Jeremy Lin, who sprained his left ankle, will be reevaluated to see if he can suit up on Thursday.
