Sad news as steam gamers will just have to wait a little longer for the release date of Valve's new Steam Controller.

Valve's new Steam controller has been delayed till 2015 after being expected to release some time during 2014. Valve has gained great feedback on its controller from testers saying that it had "high precision" and "low-latency issues". The controller has tons of functions that can be done through its touch-pads and its physical buttons. Product designer Eric Hope stated on the Steam website that the delay came as they are now experimenting with a new wireless prototype that has better responses.

"We're now using wireless prototype controllers to conduct live play-tests, with everyone from industry professionals to die-hard gamers to casual gamers. It's generating a ton of useful feedback, and it means we'll be able to make the controller a lot better," Hope said. "Of course, it's also keeping us pretty busy making all those improvements. Realistically, we're now looking at a release window of 2015, not 2014."

Hope said some things that may hint that even Steam Machines won't be available for gamers in 2014 and that it's more expected in 2015.

"Obviously we're just as eager as you are to get a Steam Machine in your hands. But our number one priority is making sure that when you do, you'll be getting the best gaming experience possible," Hope said. "We hope you'll be patient with us while we get there. Until then, we'll continue to post updates as we have more stories to share."

Valve has announced both of these new gadgets last year and it has provided more details on it throughout that year and specifically at Consumer Electronics Show. What do you think about this delay? Were you planning on getting one of them? Tell us in the comment section below.
