Melissa Rivers news revealed that the daughter of late TV icon Joan Rivers was spotted leaving Los Angeles amid reports that she is set on suing her mother's doctors for alleged medical malpractice.

According to a report from Daily Mail, the 46-year-old has been trying to stay away from the limelight since her mother's untimely death last September.

The only daughter of Joan Rivers allegedly struggled to hide her sadness when she was seen at LAX last week. No information was released regarding where she was headed to.

The doctor allegedly performed an unscheduled biopsy on the late "Fashion Police" host, and is still treating other patients amid accusations of medical malpractice.

A friend of Melissa Rivers said: "It's very difficult to discuss something so unpleasant with her, but she is going to launch a lawsuit."

A lawyer for Dr. Gwen Korovin released a statement, posted by Daily Mail: "Korovin maintains privileges at one of the city's most prestigious hospitals. She is respected and admired by her peers in the medical community and she is revered by her patients."
