"American Horror Story" season 4 spoilers reveal the softer side to the creepiest character in the show, Twisty the Clown. Meanwhile, "Freak Show" cast Finn Witrock hinted that his character, Dandy, was a victim of sexual abuse in the past.
"Freak Show" cast Finn Witrock teased "American Horror Story" season 4 spoilers to TV Line as he said that John Carroll Lynch will really surprise people with his acting chops as he plays Twisty the Clown.
"He's such a good actor, John Carroll Lynch. He can do anything, and you'll find in Episode 4 that there is a human side to the clown. We will learn his backstory, and we'll actually see a sort of humanity in him. That won't cease to make him the scariest character on television, but I think you'll understand how he got that way," he said.
Previously, Ryan Murphy revealed "American Horror Story" season 4 spoilers to Entertainment Weekly as he said that they really wanted to create a very different clown from the typical image in pop culture.
"So we worked a little bit before we even started to write on the backstory and we really came up with a gruesome, hideous story that you find out in episode four," he said. "You see the bottom part of his face in episode two. But in episode four we spend a lot of time with that and you see it more and you learn what is going on with him and it's really awful and scary."
Meanwhile, "Freak Show" cast Finn Witrock provided more "American Horror Story" season 4 spoilers in the same TV Line interview as he said that his character Dandy has a very sordid past, which explains his persona as the man who never grew up.
"We'll learn that there was some trauma in his youth - and also that there might be a bit of incest happening. We'll also learn that maybe, more broadly to say, psychosis runs in the family," he added.
