Emma Stone has been busy doing the rounds of her promotional tours for the much talked about comeback movie of Michael Keaton, Birdman, Or The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance. The movie is set to open in theaters on October 17. But it seems that she has also had the time to prepare for her brand new role in Broadway. Emma Stone's Cabaret role will be that of Sally Bowles, and she will be taking the place of Michelle Williams beginning November 11.

And we have the sultry new photo which is the first look of the actress stepping into her new role. In the photo, Emma looks sultry and ready to sizzle as the club singer, in her stockings and sexy lingerie-like outfit. The role was Michelle Williams' when the Roundabout Theatre Company revived the musical at New York's Studio 54 this year.

Emma Stone's Cabaret co-stars will include Alan Cumming as the Emcee. It will be recalled that the actor also originally essayed the same role in 1998, and won the prestigious Tony award for his performance. It turns out, the actress has seen the production with Alan Cumming in the same role when she was just a child! The "Easy A" actress revealed on the Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon: "I saw it in New York for the first time with Alan as the Emcee when I was nine years old, which is the most inappropriate show to take a nine-year-old to," Emma shared. "Do not bring a child!"

In an interview with MTV, the actress shares she is already feeling nervous for opening night on Broadway, "Yeah, oh my god!" she said. "It's the most nerve-racking thing ever." And she is also mentally preparing herself for the times when famous personalities might watch her show, including her friend Taylor Swift. In fact for Emma Stone in Cabaret, any additional source of nerves is very much welcome! The Birdman actress says she thinks about it this way, "Sally is not the most famous or the most talented musical star on the planet so . . . any additional nerve-racking experience is helpful for Sally. It actually is kind of ideal in that way."
