"Marry Me" TV series got a good score on its series premiere last October 14, 2014.

  • "About A Boy" got 5.8 mil/1.7,

  • "Forever" got 4.7 mil/1.1. (TVLine said this grade was down 13 and 15 percent)

The story of Marry Me revolves around Annie (Wilson) and Jake (Ken Marino). They have been together for six years. Both came from a romantic vacation, but Annie was so disappointed that Jake didn't pop the question. But when Jake dropped to one knee, he failed to interrupt Annie for ranting about him. Everyone he knows, and even the family and friends who were hiding nearby to share the moment have heard every word from Annie.

The review from Variety reads:

"Despite some funny bits and solid supporting players - including JoBeth Williams, a recurring character as Jake's disapproving mom - the writing also works a bit too hard at times, like the assertion that the couple is so joined they're like "Paula Deen and the N word." Ditto for the fact Annie's gay dads (Tim Meadows, Dan Bucatinsky) still squabble over who the actual biological father is, or the fact the show contains several bleeped expletives, which feels less edgy than mildly desperate."
