Gennady Golovkin's next fight is believed to be "GGG's" major coming out party, as many believe that the Kazakh boxing sensation is the next global superstar of the sport. For his part, however, either Miguel Cotto or Canelo Alvarez would be ideal future match-ups.

Gennady Golovkin's next fight is slated for this Saturday against Marco Antonio Rubio, as he makes his California fighting debut at the StubHub Center in Carson. As the undefeated fighter aims to keep his 32-0 record immaculate, many are led to believe that "GGG" would be the next global boxing icon.

In a report by Yahoo! Sports, promoter Tom Loeffler believes the the 9,000 people watching Gennady Golovkin's next fight live will be in for a treat.

"People are so excited to see him," Loeffler proclaimed. "His style transcends any particular demographic. It's a universal style and it's why he's so popular in the Mexican community here in Southern California."

Loeffler also noted that Gennady Golovkin's next fight is the biggest recorded attendance at the StubHub center, proving that boxing fans have been keeping an eye on the middleweight superstar.

"Just look at the reaction we're getting here for this fight," he continued. "People are coming from everywhere. We'll have the biggest crowd ever for a fight here by more than a thousand. That includes some big names."

Golovkin, whose soft-spoken demeanor has won over a great number of fans, showed the usual respect towards his opponent. For the 32-year old Karaganda native, the veteran Rubio is his biggest match-up to date.

"I know Rubio. He's a good opponent for me," Golovkin said in an interview with Sherdog. "He's a great fighter. This is not an easy fight for me. He is the biggest opponent for me right now. He is very smart. He is a champion, and I am taking him very seriously."

"GGG" also expressed his desire to face bigger-named opponents in the near future.

"Of course I want a pay-per-view fight," Golovkin admitted. "I hope for one next year. I hope it's against either Miguel Cotto or Canelo Alvarez."
