Jon Jones' next fight results have been foreseen by UFC light heavyweight contender Phil Davis, as he predicts "Bones" being defeated at UFC 182. "Mr. Wonderful" also sees challenger Daniel Cormier laying a beat down on the champion.

Jon Jones' next fight, which was originally scheduled for UFC 177 last September 27th, was forced to be moved to January 3rd, due to an injury sustained by "Bones". During the lay-off, another light heavyweight contender Phil Davis has opted to work with Jones' challenger Daniel Cormier, in his own preparation to face former number one contender Glover Texeira at UFC 179 this weekend in Brazil.

In an interview with FOX Sports, "Mr. Wonderful" shared his experience training with "DC".

"I spent some time up in San Jose working with Daniel Cormier and trained with the fellas up there," Davis said. "Daniel's not super similar as far as his fighting style, but just his height and range is similar to Glover (Teixeira) so he's a good fighter to work with."

"It's good to get a fresh set of eyes and a new body that doesn't know what you're going to do," he added.

Both "DC" and "Mr. Wonderful" have mutually benefitted from training alongside each other. As Davis helps Cormier for Jon Jones' next fight, he has also gained more confidence in the fact that a new champion will be crowned after UFC 182.

"I don't know if would be a smile because Jon Jones lost or Daniel Cormier won, but I don't think either way it matters," Davis claimed. "As long as my boy wins, as long as he's happy, and he gets to beat up on Jon Jones that's a plus."

"DC he's in good shape and he's always improving," he added. "So I imagine DC's going to go and beat up on Jon Jones."
