What should Tom Hiddleston's girlfriend be like?
The 33-year-old actor, despite fan's admiration and fascination with his life, has been trying hard to keep his relationships as private as he can. That doesn't stop the press from linking him to every actress that seems suitable, though.
He has been linked to co-star Kat Dennings, Jessica Chastain and Lara Pulver. He was also rumored to have been secretly married to theatre actress Susanna Fielding.
Instead of getting angry, the 'I Saw The Light' star says he understands the public's fascination with his love life.
"I hope when there's really something to write about, then I'll be able to talk," he told GQ in an interview, last year.
With the 'Thor' star currently single (that we know of), many women are clamoring to be the next girl to snatch him off the market. So what does the British heartthrob like in a girl?
She has to be honest.
Apparently, despite deceiving people as Loki in 'Thor,' Hiddleston believes honesty can get you more cuddles than a good pick-up line.
"Honesty is a gift-to be honest about who you are and how you feel-because it encourages intimacy, and intimacy is really where's it at," he previously told Elle UK.
He also shared, "I guess the sexiest thing in the world is when I meet someone and they seem like they are themselves. You know, be yourself."
She has to like romantic gestures as well as plain old cuddling.
Tom Hiddleston likes to surprise girlfriends and they should be prepared for it.
He shared, "[I decided to surprise my girlfriend in paris] ... she was standing in front of a stand with different flavors of ice cream and couldn't decide which one to choose. I came, stood up behind her and gently whispered: 'it's a hard choice, isn't it?' ... my deed was even too romantic as my girlfriend had almost fainted from fear. Since then I've become more careful in romantic actions."
He also told Run Riot! what his ideal date would be like: "I think if you're going to be conventionally romantic you've got to go all the way: a beautiful dinner somewhere lovely, with boat-loads of flowers, chocolates and champagne.
He added, "But it might also be nice to wrap up warm and sit on a roof somewhere, with a cup of hot soup and your girl, watch the planes come in over London and listen to the night."
She has to like constant declarations of affection.
"Make sure you tell the people you love that you love them. Loudly and often," one of his tweets reads. "You never know when it might be too late."
She should be able to share the man to the world.
A woman can only pull off being Tom Hiddleston's girlfriend if she can accept his life as a movie star
"True love is an acceptance of someone else for who they are," he previously told Elle UK.
