Rapper Iggy Azalea has a very strong Twitter presence.
After just ending a feud with rapper Snoop Dogg, the "Fancy" hitmaker took to Twitter today to address a few more things.
Iggy Azalea further explained the situation regarding the rumors that she and her ex-boyfriend Maurice Williams, aka Hefe Wine, were married, according to E! News. Williams reportedly filed divorce papers in the state of Texas last week.
"I've settled 2 old contracts privately. Both got a very fair sums & went on about their lives. Real cases are handled in court, not the press. My lawyer agreed to be served 'divorce' papers but they want to hire someone to serve me in person, probably so it can be another TMZ story," wrote the "Work" rapper.
She continued, "I also was told yesterday via his lawyer if I do not settle out of court they will go to the press and say I gave him an STD, whats next? Unfortunately to film common law 'divorce' all you need is three of your friends to sign a statement swearing the person's story is true."
Iggy Azalea added, "The thing that I find awfully sad about this whole story is that the mother of this mans 3 year old child is in court right now saying he stalked, head butted and tried to strangle her in january after their 7 year relationship ended. Why is her truth being overlooked in favor of sensationalism? It makes me so sad & my heart goes out to Annette Buitrago."
The Australian model also revealed on Twitter that she's avoided Texas "for the last 5 years" and in the case she does return to the state, she has "a police escort & two armed bodyguards."
Azalea also took to her social media account to speak on her Australian record label's decision to allow an older photo of her to appear on the current issue of Maxim Australia, according to the Sydney Morning Herald.
"Stop giving permission on my behalf for magazines to purchase images of me that have already been printed in major publications for covers," wrote the 24-year-old.
She added, "Australian label, I love you guys but you allowed my image to be sold to cosmo Aus when I told you I would prefer for that not to happen. And now this morning I see you've allowed maxim australia to buy an image from a 2011 complex mag shoot and put it on the cover."
