Confirmed! "How I Met Your Mother" comedian and actor Neil Patrick Harris hosts Oscar in 2015! Last October 6, the actor posted a short link on Twitter that will direct to a video.

In a short video, he says "I'm in!" and the video shows a white board where all activites that Harris has done are listed in it, and the video shows the actor circling the words "Host the Oscars" on a bucket list.
The 41-year-old, Neil Patrick Harris is also known for his late 80's show Doogie Howser MD. He already hosted the Tony Awards and the Emmys.
According to BBC, Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences released a statement from NPH which reads:
"To be asked to follow in the footsteps of Johnny Carson, Billy Crystal, Ellen DeGeneres, and everyone else who had the great fortune of hosting is a bucket list dream come true,'' Academy president Cheryl Boone Isaacs called Harris "the consummate entertainer."
The 87th Academy Awards will be held on February 22, 2015, at the Dolby Theatre.
